Read below for more information on planning your next visit to the Driehaus Museum. Last admission to the Museum is one hour before closing, at 6 pm on Wednesdays and at 4 pm the rest of the week.
Upcoming early closures: We will close at 3 pm on Thursday, November 21 and at 4 pm on Wednesday, November 27.
The address and entrance to the Museum is 50 E Erie, up the grand stairs of the Murphy Memorial building. We are two blocks west of Michigan Avenue between Rush and Wabash.

The last entry to the Museum is one hour before closing.
Free Wednesday evenings: From 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings, admission to the Museum is free. Last entry to the galleries is 6:30 pm.
Tickets may be purchased up to 2 weeks in advance. We welcome walk-ins.

Tours are $5 plus the cost of regular admission and are offered on a “first-come, first-served” basis. They are not available to reserve online.

A Self-Serve Coat Room is available with limited capacity in the historic Butler’s Pantry. Items not permitted in the Coat Room include electronic equipment and devices, food, tobacco (or e-cigarettes), bicycles, scooters, or strollers. The Richard H. Driehaus Museum is not responsible for any lost, stolen or misplaced items left in the Coat Room.
Please note: Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public place where people are present. Despite all precautionary measures taken, we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. We are following protection measures as outlined by the CDC and the City of Chicago and ask that visitors do as well.
The Museum has an elevator for use by visitors. The wheelchair accessible entrance is located at 50 East Erie Street, next door to the Museum’s main entrance.
