A panel including Executive Director of the Driehaus Museum Richard P. Townsend, Museum of Contemporary Art curator Naomi Beckwith, and author and art historian Lowery Stokes Sims explores the provocative art of British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare MBE, who draws on history, politics, and fashion to explore our understanding of the past in relation to today’s changing global-cultural landscape.
Presented on the opening day of our exhibition A Tale of Today: Yinka Shonibare MBE, your ticket includes admission to the exhibition on the date of the discussion.
This event is presented in partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art and will take place in their Edlis Neeson Theater.
