SOLD OUT - The Roaring 20s: Lips that Touch Liquor and Other Stories of the Noble Experiment

Thursday, January 23 6 - 7:30 p.m. This Event Is Now Sold Out

The Volstead Act was enacted into U.S. law in 1919 and took full effect in early 1920, officially ushering in the era of Prohibition.

Join Chicago historian Al Walavich as he discusses the legal ramifications of the Volstead Act and the 18th Amendment; he will also explore where the paths of Prohibition and the Temperance Movement intersected and how they diverged.

A welcome cocktail inspired by the event will be provided by FEW Spirits.
