A Tale of Today: Chicago Emerging Artists Live Jazz with DePaul University School of Music
Tuesday, November 9, 2021
Back in the Nickersons’ day, music filled the Ballroom and young artists gathered to absorb lessons from the Nickersons’ vast art collection. On November 9th, we honor that spirit of support and learning with a concert performed by the next generation of musicians from DePaul University’s School of Music. Under the direction of Dana Hall, Director of Jazz Studies, this performance is a hallmark in the School’s training program and is the culmination of a nine-week intensive program that sees the students performing for an audience for the first time. The program will feature a lively mix of standards, classics, and contemporary works. Enjoy and support these virtuosos as they meet their future!
