Wednesday, July 17, 2024

Join us for our inaugural Third Wednesday of the Month Free Night with a musical program featuring works from the Gilded Age by Amy Beach, Ludwig Maurer, and Herbert Howells. We are also celebrating Bastille Day a few days late, with music by French composers Anton Simon and Eugene Bozza.

This event will be in the Murphy Auditorium and the Nickerson Mansion will also be open during this time to visitors. Advanced registration is requested.

This event is now sold out.

About the Performers:

The Gaudete Brass is made up of five musicians who believe strongly in the expressive and communicative power of brass chamber music. Since 2004 the quintet has engaged in creatively expanding the brass quintet repertoire, developing unique programs that have resonated with chamber music audiences all over the country.
