Music of the Baroque: Rival Divas Evening Soirée

Music Director of Music of the Baroque, one of Chicago’s leading classical ensembles, Jane Glover has conducted the major operas of Mozart and Handel all over the world. Glover sits down with Susanna Phillips and Jane Archibald, two of North America’s leading sopranos, to explore the rivalries that existed between the leading singers of Mozart’s and Handel’s day and how they impacted the composers’ music.
Phillips and Archibald will perform several musical selections as a preview of Music of the Baroque’s Rival Divas concerts on February 23 and 24.
The program will begin promptly at 6 pm; reception following.
