The Driehaus Museum is proud to partner with Gertie, a cultural agency in Chicago dedicated to making contemporary more accessible to Chicagoans, for the launch of Chicago Exhibition Weekend (CXW). In this kickoff conversation moderated by the Driehaus Museum’s Executive Director, Lisa Key, with Aron Gent from DOCUMENT gallery, curator Carla Acevedo-Yates from the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and artist Luke Agada, represented by moniquemeloche gallery.

The conversation will explore the vibrancy of the Chicago art scene and the joys, along with the obstacles, of residing and working in the city. Speakers will also discuss what it means to be a participant in a broader, ever-changing ecosystem, such as the global art world.

After the conversation, guests are encouraged to explore all the exciting programming taking place throughout the city’s art galleries as a part of CXW. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of art, culture, and creativity, and to celebrate the dynamic art scene of Chicago!

This is a public event but RSVPs are highly encouraged through Gertie’s registration software Pie, found here. You can also register with Gertie by emailing rsvp@gertie.co.
