Stained Glass Workshop (SOLD OUT)
Saturday, November 1, 2025 1:00-4:00 pm Buy Tickets General: $100 | Members: $95 | Student: $60
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the stained glass-making process and try out techniques including cutting, foiling, and soldering. Ticket cost includes the production of three charms; make jewelry, keychains, small hanging pieces and more! Check out glass.brodz on Instagram for examples. Artist Molly Brodzeller will demonstrate the process, then attendees will design and create their own pieces.
Important Notes:
- This workshop is a streamlined version of the full stained glass-making process. Due to physical and time constraints, guests will not be grinding the glass edges.
- Some pieces made in this workshop may require finishing by the instructor; guests will arrange to pick up these pieces at the Driehaus Museum at a later date.
- Your ticket includes enough glass to create three small charms. Additional glass may be added for $5 per piece, paid at the end of class via card, cash, or online payment.
About the Artist
Molly Brodzeller (they/them) is a working artist based in Chicago, IL, specializing in stained glass. Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Brodzeller was first introduced to stained glass in third grade, with a deeper dive during their senior year of high school, where the medium quickly became a primary focus.
While studying Nonprofit Management and Leadership at Indiana University, access to stained glass was limited. However, in 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, their passion was reignited and they began creating again—this time from the basement of their college house. It was then that Stained Glass by Molly B. was born; a small business rooted in craft, creativity, and community.
Now, Molly has facilitated dozens of workshops, completed hundreds of custom commissions, and continues to run their stained glass business full time.
