Tea Time Featuring the Stories of Edith Rockefeller McCormick SOLD OUT

November 19 at the Murphy Auditorium 2:00-4:00 pm Buy Tickets $90 General Audience || $80 Member

Early preservationist Edith Rockefeller McCormick was one of the 100 people who saved the Nickerson Mansion back in 1919. Her name was the first listed in the Chicago Daily Tribune’s article about this tremendous act of generosity. Her story will be part of the tea time repast as Andrea Friederici Ross, author of Edith: The Rogue Rockefeller McCormick, winner of the 2021 Chicago Writers Association Book of the Year in Traditional Nonfiction, and actor Elizabeth Carlson share stories about the ‘rogue’ member of both the McCormick and the Rockefeller families.

The tea service will include several courses. RSVP by 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 17th. After that time, please email programs@driehausmuseum.org to join the waitlist. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the waitlist.

This event will be held in the Murphy Auditorium at 50 E. Erie. Books will be available for purchase at our Museum Store.

Tickets do not include admission to the Museum.
